Nevertheless, it is recognized that various sociodemographic factors impact consumers’ understanding, opinions, and actions, with women appearing to be more interested in sustainable food issues and more likely to take appropriate actions than men. Women are also more receptive to knowledge about the negative effects of consuming more meat, as well as its positive effects on the environment and animal welfare.
